Surgeon's Skin Secret was developed by a plastic surgeon in Grand Rapids, MI in the mid 1950's for use ONLY in his practice. The plastic surgeon developed/used this product to reduce scarring, and the time it took for the wound to heal. What he would do was remove the sutures, and place Surgeon's Skin Secret under a bandage and in a few days/weeks the wound would be healed and the scarring would be reduced.
